Getting started — the first 48 hours
- A quick chat on the phone. You tell me the setup, I tell you where the money's leaking and what HMRC want from you. No pitch until you ask.
- Say yes → e-sign on your phone. One document, plain English, sign with your finger.
- Quick ID check. Photo of your driving licence — the anti-money-laundering rules require it of every bookkeeper. Two minutes.
- Direct Debit + bank feed. Set up from your phone. Your bank transactions flow in automatically — no statements to send, ever.
- Your WhatsApp line goes live. Save the number. That's the whole relationship: receipts in, answers back.

What you do
- Photograph receipts as you get them. Send to WhatsApp. That's it — that's the whole job.

The omnipresence bit — why this beats a once-a-year accountant
Most trades speak to their accountant once a year, in January, when it's too late to fix anything. You can message us any working day and get an answer — pricing a big job, hiring your first lad, buying a van, going VAT registered. No meter running, no appointment, no invoice for asking.
The books are the boring bit. Knowing your numbers well enough to earn more from them — that's the point. That's why the one-pager exists and why questions are free.

What if my books are a mess right now?
Then you're normal. Catch-up work gets a one-off quote before you commit — see the help page — and the monthly service starts clean.
Do I have to learn Xero?
No. It runs underneath, in your name, so your data is always yours. You never have to open it. If you want to see it, it's there.
What do you need from my old accountant?
Nothing from you but a name. We request the handover — it's called professional clearance and it's routine, not awkward.
