CIS Books is run by Luke — an operator who does the books, not a bookkeeper who's never run anything.
I ran operations for a private jet business turning over £80m. I bootstrapped a flight support business from nothing to £4m and twelve staff, with systems we built ourselves. I've also watched a business die — a major international customer defaulted and took the company down with it. I know what kills businesses, because one of mine was killed. It wasn't the work. It was the numbers arriving too late to act on.
That's why CIS Books exists, and why it's built the way it is: the admin automated so it's cheap, the books read like an operator would read them — margin, cash, what to do next — and everything on your phone, because you're on site, not at a desk.
I run my own businesses too — two street food trucks among them — so the receipts-in-a-van problem isn't theoretical to me. My own books run through the exact same system yours would.
